8/24/00: Great day! I’m liking this
Wow.
Today I had another really good day. At school, too. I think that school is helping me feel a little better about everything, weird.
Ok, here’s what I did today, in computer class I got complimented by my teacher on how fast I could type when we took like tests on it, with the home row.
In piano lab, we learned some notes that we all pretty much new so far and we learned the octives and we played the notes, which was fun and musical. I love the piano!
In study hall, I finally get to now go straight to the nurses office, I filled out the paper and I had and I got my tag, and I started working, not many kids come in yet, I guuess they don’t want to miss school so soon in the year! One did, and he has been in a lot of my schools so far, and we never clicked, he used to be a tough guy that intimidated and hit kids like me, like when I wore dresses to school and stuff, but I was sitting there hole punching some papers and I said hi. He said hi. That was peaceful enough, he had an injury and the nurse took care of that. I will be able to do things like errands and stuff and I’ll get to take temps and that stuff, she titled that pary of the job as I can assist her with non confidential matters. I understand that and it’s fine with me, I can’t wait till the kids show up! 🙂
And in ROTC we got measured for our uniforms and we played a fun game, then the rest of the day was kind of boring, so I’ll go for now!!! Love you all, Livermush, Paul!
Mary, you have a wonderful attitude and perspective about your school situation! Don’t lose it.
I can understand how attendance can be a problem. It seems like the more you miss, the harder it is to go back. You need to keep that in mind and not let it get out of hand.
You’re taking some really neat classes. We didn’t have the selection kids have today when I went to school. (I’m an old fogie, you know!)
I’m just real glad the year has started out so good for you and proud of your determination to learn from your mistakes. That shows maturity a lot of adults never attain. You’re on the right track. (Off to a good start, on the right track…. sounds like I’m talking about a racehorse! lol)
Keep up the good work!

(1) That is so funny to me to think that on the first day of school, the one and only who showed up with a boo-boo was “the bully.” lol
“I’m seriously, you guys.”
……
(2) Hella-super about the nurse office job!!
(3) What does your ROTC uniform look like?
(4) Booths (?) in the high school cafeteria??! Now I’ve heard everything!
